What is PowerView® Automation?
Despite the fact that we think it is going to revolutionize how we use our homes and our window treatments, many people have yet to encounter Hunter Douglas PowerView® motorization before. Luckily, it is exactly what it says on the tin: a system that lets you motorize and/or automate your home’s window coverings so that you never have to operate them by hand again. PowerView® can be incorporated into existing window fashions, or you can choose to add PowerView® when your purchase new Hunter Douglas window treatments. Either way, after trying it, we are sure you will never go back to adjusting your window coverings the old-fashioned way again.
How do you operate PowerView®?
Like everything else that Hunter Douglas offers, your experience with Hunter Douglas PowerView® motorization is totally customizable. The classic choice is the Pebble® remote control, Hunter Douglas’s reinvention of the traditional remote. However, if you are looking for something more functional or that will always be with you, you can also download the PowerView® mobile app for free onto your favorite smart device. This allows you to open up more tasks, like automating your window coverings or synchronizing them with local weather. Lastly, you can also add PowerView® to the list of voice-activated software from your smart home system such as Amazon’s Alexa or Google’s Home Assistant, among others.
What window treatments can use PowerView®?
Hunter Douglas has worked tirelessly to ensure that their customers can have as much access to Hunter Douglas PowerView® motorization as possible. Because of this, all of Hunter Douglas’s vertical blinds, horizontal blinds, roman shades, roller shades, sheer shades, honeycomb cellular shades, and woven wood shades can be upgraded to motorization through PowerView®. Additionally, Hunter Douglas has recently unveiled their very first motorized plantation shutter: the Palm Beach™ collection.
