Choosing A Company For Your Motorized Window Treatments
It’s easy to see why motorized window treatments are all the rage. Motorization makes it easy and convenient to control your window treatments — even those that are hard to reach like skylights and two-story windows. Adjust them with a simple tap of a button or command of your voice. Or, program them to open and close at specific times of day, like with the sunrise and sunset.
What can be harder to determine is which company to choose to design and install your motorized window treatments. There are many companies selling motorized shades but not all are created equally. When shopping around, be sure to consider what you’re really getting (and what you’re not).
Motorized and automated window treatments are our specialty. While many of our competitors offer just a select few styles of motorized treatments, we can motorize any style including draperies, Roman shades, roller shades, interior shutters, and blinds.
Having a variety of style options is important because each room in your home functions differently so you’ll want to choose your window treatments accordingly. Unlike many of our competitors, we never take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we talk with you about the privacy and light control needs of each room to determine the best product for each space. For example, we may determine automated room-darkening shades are needed in the bedrooms, light-filtering sheer draperies are best for the dining room, and UV-blocking shades are required in the home office.
In addition to the functionality of each room, we also consider curb appeal and street views. The traditional white roller shades that our competitors put up in every room might look fine from the inside but ruin the aesthetic of your home’s modern exterior. Considering how your motorized window treatments look from the street is just as important as considering interior views.
If you are building or renovating your home, we offer pre-wiring. This ensures that power sources with the proper voltage are placed in the optimal spots for hardwired treatments and hidden out of view. Hardwiring allows you to skip bulky battery packs for a low-profile installation. And you’ll never have to worry about replacing batteries!
Our window treatments are compatible with most whole-home automation systems including Amazon Alexa, Apple® HomeKit™, and the Google Assistant™. Or you can operate them with an app on your mobile device, a remote control, or a wall switch. Our installers will set everything up for you and make sure you know how to use your new motorized treatments before we leave.
